ICT for a ChangeIn today’s modern world, Information and Communication Technology, or ICT, plays a big role in creating change in society. From the way we communicate to how we study, work, and even entertain ourselves, ICT has completely transformed our daily lives. It has become one of the most powerful tools in shaping the future, especially in education and social development.One of the most visible changes brought by ICT is in the field of education. During the pandemic, ICT made online classes possible. Students and teachers were able to continue learning through platforms like Google Classroom, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams. It showed that learning doesn’t only happen inside the classroom it can happen anywhere as long as there is access to technology. ICT also gives us access to unlimited information through the internet, helping students research and explore topics beyond what is taught in school.ICT also brings change in communication. Before, people had to wait for letters or meet in person to share news. Now, we can send messages, make video calls, or share information instantly. This makes it easier to connect with family, friends, and even people from other countries. Through social media, ICT gives everyone a voice to express opinions, promote awareness, and support important causes.Moreover, ICT helps create social change by promoting digital literacy and equal access to information.
